Christine Scholz

Reisefreudige Patenmutter

Christine Scholz

Christine Scholz was born in 1959 in the Vorharz region. She graduated in nursing in 1981 and moved to Bremerhaven in 1982 where she worked in surgery and later changed to psychiatry. In 2006 Christine did her first tour through The Gambia with her husband. Both are very open-minded and quickly made contact with other German fellow travelers. Soon after, both of them took over the first sponsored child through an association, with whom they still have a very good contact. Later, they both took over another sponsorship for a boy who had lost his parents and took care of him until he graduated from high school. It took a few trips until Christine and Gerd found their way to the GBG. They also became sponsors in our association once more. At the moment they have three sponsorships for girls, which bring them a lot of joy. They travel to The Gambia every year to visit and support „their children“ and their families. We are especially thankful that Christine and Gerd always take over any association work that arises during their stays. Christine supports her husband, who is involved as project manager Faraba, wherever she can. She took over the last inventory for him and often she does without him when he is in The Gambia again and looks after the situation. We are very happy that Christine is so active in the association and are looking forward to the next trips and reports.
