Bäume zu pflanzen, ist in Gambia eine wachsende Bewegung, die insbesondere von Jugendlichen getragen wird. Denn Gambia kämpft mit Abholzungen und Klimawandel. Seit 2019 pflanzt unser Verein jedes Jahr Bäume, immer in Kooperation mit lokalen Projekten. Diesmal pflanzen wir gemeinsam mit Adama Jarju von den Daughters of Gambia in der Gemeinde Siffoe insgesamt 100 setzlinge Orangen-, Soursop- und Avocadobäume. Wir pflanzen in oder nahe der Compounds, damit die Baumpflege, insbesondere das Gießen, regelmäßig stattfinden kann.

PLANTING TREES FOR INCOME AND CLIMATE PROTECTION

Planting trees is a growing movement in The Gambia, particularly among young people. The Gambia is struggling with deforestation and climate change. Our association has been planting trees every year since 2019, always in cooperation with local partners. This time, together with Adama Jarju of Daughters of Gambia, we are planting a total of 100 settlings orange, soursop and avocado trees in the community of Siffoe. We are planting in or near compounds so that tree care, especially watering, can take place regularly.
